The E Collar Training course is designed for dogs with serious recall issues, such as chasing or attacking livestock and wildlife, or for dogs that need more control off-leash. The remote collar is an aversive training method, used responsibly to help reinforce boundaries and improve recall, ensuring your dog can enjoy off-leash freedom while remaining safe.

While E Collar Training can be an incredibly effective tool for improving recall and providing off-leash freedom, it’s important to acknowledge some potential negatives. The e-collar is an aversive training method, and if not used correctly, it can cause stress, anxiety, or nervousness in some dogs.

To ensure the best possible outcome for both you and your dog, all dogs booking into e-collar training must have previously completed another training package with us. This is essential as we need to have a solid foundation of confidence and obedience before introducing the e-collar. Dogs that require e-collar training often already have a high level of confidence, and it's crucial that they’re in the right state of mind before starting this type of training.

During the training process, I will closely monitor your dog’s response to the e-collar. If I notice any signs of anxiety or nervousness, I will immediately discuss this with you, and together, we can decide whether to continue or pause the training. Your dog’s well-being is our priority, and it’s important that we only move forward with techniques that are in their best interest.
